Joe Ryan has been in the Real Estate and Construction industries for his entire 45+ year career. He quickly learned the business of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection trades (MEPF), working on prominent Tishman projects. After 10 years with other companies, Joe returned to Tishman as an Executive Vice President and started a division known as Tishman Technologies Corp., which quickly became the industry leader, providing Real Estate and Construction Management services to the Telecommunications and Financial industries.
In 10 years’ time, TTC completed over 20 MSF of mission-critical space, with over $1 Billion in annual volume. Whether it was a national data center roll-out, trading floor(s), or carrier hotel facility, TTC was the likely builder. Clients included MCI, Verizon, AT&T, Merrill Lynch, Goldman Sachs, and Morgan Stanley, 111 8th Ave., 165 Halsey St. to name just a few.
In 2011, Joe joined Sabey Corp. and redeveloped the “Tallest Data Center in the World”, the former Verizon Building at 375 Pearl St., a 32-story, 1.2 MSF building. When completed the building now has a capacity of 40MW, with 32 – 3MW emergency generator positions. As a result of the effects of Superstorm Sandy on the NY Data Center market, the building has today been transformed into a world-class, fully occupied office tower. All of which will have Joe’s thumbprint on for many years to come.
In 2014, Joe started Ryan Real Estate & Technologies Advisors, Inc. to provide consulting services to Owner/Developers, Data Center Operators, Construction Managers, and Financial and Telecom enterprise clients. His ability to develop longstanding client relationships an his “can do” attitude have made him the success that he is today. Integrity, always “Doing the Right Thing,” and exceptional communication skills, are all core values.
Today, Joe heads up major projects for Benchmark Builders, one of the recognized leaders in Corporate Interiors and Mission Critical construction for the NYC/NJ markets.
In 2016, Joe joined Benchmark Builders, LLC. Over the last 5+ years, He was responsible for delivering numerous interior and infrastructure projects for a deep roster of building owner and tenant clients.
