1. Who we are

This app is published and operated by C&C Technology Group (“C&C,” “we,” “us”), 1000 Wyckoff Ave Ste 304nue, Unit 304, Mahwah, NJ 07430, United States. C&C WaveTech is a C&C Technology Group brand. This policy covers the C&C WaveTech mobile application for Android and iOS (“the app”). It does not cover our website or any manufacturer website the app may link out to.

2. Information we do not collect

The app does not ask for, and has no technical ability to gather:

• Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or mailing addresses
• User accounts, passwords, or any sign-in credentials
• Precise or approximate location
• Contacts, calendar, photos, camera, microphone, or files on your device
• Advertising identifiers, or any identifier used to build a profile of you
• Payment or financial information (the app displays no pricing and processes no transactions)

The app contains no third-party advertising networks and no third-party analytics or behavioral-tracking SDKs.

3. Information the app does send

Search terms

When you run a search, the text you typed is sent to our servers so we can look it up in the product catalog and return results. We may retain search terms in order to see which searches return no results, correct gaps in the catalog, and improve match quality. Retained search terms are stored without any identifier that would let us connect a search to a particular person or device.

Please do not type confidential project information, customer names, or personal information into the search box. Search it as a product, not as a project.

AI-assisted search

When a search is written as a sentence or a question rather than a part number, the app may pass that text to Anthropic’s Claude API so that it can suggest products matching the application you described. Anthropic processes this text solely to return a result to us, acts as our service provider, and does not use it to train its models. No identifier accompanies the text. If you would rather not use this feature, search by part number or short keyword instead; short queries are matched entirely within our own database.

Ordinary server records

Like any internet service, our hosting provider records standard technical information with each request, including IP address, timestamp, and the type of request made. These records exist to keep the service running and to protect it from abuse. They are not used to identify individuals, are not combined with search terms to build a profile, and are kept only for a short operational period.

4. How we use what we receive

We use the limited information described above only to:

• Return product search results to you
• Find and fix gaps, errors, and broken document links in the catalog
• Improve how well searches match what people are actually looking for
• Keep the service secure, available, and working correctly

We do not use it for advertising, for scoring or profiling you, or for any purpose unrelated to running the app.

5. Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade any information from the app, and we do not share it for advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising.

We rely on a small number of vendors who process data strictly on our behalf and under contract: our cloud hosting and database provider, which stores the catalog and runs the API, and Anthropic, which powers AI-assisted search as described above. Google Play and the Apple App Store distribute the app and provide us only aggregate, anonymous install and crash statistics that they generate themselves.

We may disclose information if we are legally required to do so by valid legal process, or where necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of C&C Technology Group or others.

6. Links to manufacturer resources

Product pages link to specification sheets, drawings, and other documents hosted by the manufacturers we represent. Opening one of those links takes you to a site we do not control, governed by that manufacturer’s own privacy policy. We are not responsible for their practices.

7. Data retention

Retained search terms are kept in de-identified form for as long as they are useful for improving the catalog, and are deleted or aggregated when they are not. Technical server records are kept for a short operational window and then discarded. Because the app holds no accounts, there is no stored profile of you to retain in the first place.

8. Security

All traffic between the app and our servers travels over encrypted HTTPS connections. Our catalog database is access-controlled and administered by a small number of authorized personnel. No system can be guaranteed perfectly secure, but because the app stores no personal information, there is no personal information to expose.

9. Children

The app is a professional reference tool for the construction, data infrastructure, and critical facilities industry. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

10. Your rights

Residents of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and other jurisdictions with comprehensive privacy laws, as well as individuals in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, have rights to access, correct, delete, and port personal information about them, and to object to certain processing.

In practice, the app collects no personal information, so in most cases we hold nothing about you to produce, correct, or delete. We have not sold or shared personal information in the preceding twelve months, and we do not process sensitive personal information. If you believe we hold information about you and wish to exercise a right, contact us using the details below and we will respond within the period required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for making a request.

11. International users

The app and its servers are operated in the United States. If you use the app from outside the United States, the limited information described in this policy is processed in the United States.

12. Changes to this policy

If we change how the app handles information, we will update this page and revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will also be noted in the app’s release notes on Google Play and the App Store.
