Tech Tip #1 : Angled Patch Panels

Hi this is a C&C Technology Group Tech Tip. Today’s tech tip is about angled patch panels. Using an angled patch panel alleviates the need for horizonal wire management so you can maximize the density in your rack or cabinet. But beware, not all angled patch panels are alike. Some protrude so far into the work area that cabinet rails must be moved back to fit. And that creates a lot of problems. It’s worth checking out the Ortronics Angled Patch Panels. They only extend a half inch off the rails and will save you time and money. Thanks for watching this tech tip and we’ll see you next time.

Tech Tip #2 : Reduced OD Patch Cords

Hi this is a C&C Technology Group Tech Tip. Today’s tech tip is about reduced diameter Cat 6 patch cords. As IT rooms and closets age, patching in equipment racks gets more and more difficult. Older IT racks are often too small to accommodate the volume of patch cables that new technology creates. But upgrading the racking and cable management system can often be difficult logistically and cost prohibitive. So, what can you do? Check out the reduced diameter Cat 6 patch cords from Ortronics. With an outside diameter of only .155 inches you will reduce the required cable management space by almost half. That extra space will increase an IT rooms longevity and help keep it organized. Thanks for watching this tech tip and we’ll see you next time.

Tech Tip #3 : Tech and LEED

HI this is a C&C Technology Group Tech Tip. Today we are talking Green. As you know history shows technology isn’t always green. But Legrand Ortronics and Superior Essex are dedicated to sustainability. In fact they are the first and only IT infrastructure manufacturers that can contribute points toward LEED certified buildings. You heard that right, using the Legrand and Superior Solution can contribute points toward LEED. Many of their products carry PEP’s or industry specific EPD certifications. As well as HPD certifications. That means this new tech will help you reach your sustainability goals in ways not possible before. Thanks for watching this tech tip and we’ll see you next time.

Tech Tip #4: The White Solution

Hi this is a C&C Technology Group Tech Tip. Today’s tech tip is about visibility in the data center. Amidst all the choices available when designing your data center infrastructure, you may not think much about color. But why go black, when you can go white? Legrand’s integrative White Solution offers an enlightened option. The white finish reflects 80% of light creating internal contrast and enabling better visibility to port locations, punch downs and connections. This can reduce mistakes as well as save on labor costs and installation times. These cabinets, racks, patch panels and fiber enclosures offer the end result of enhanced visibility with an aesthetic upgrade. Thanks for watching this tech tip and we’ll see you next time!

Tech Tip #5 : C&C Showroom

Hi this is a C&C Technology Group Tech Tip. Today’s tech tip is about the opening of the C&C Technology Group Showroom. Our showroom has been recently unveiled showcasing innovations in cabling, wire management, racks, cabinets and power-over-ethernet lighting. Contact us on our website or by calling your local C&C Representative to schedule your personal visit. You’ll even be treated to a complimentary cappuccino. Thanks for watching this tech tip and we’ll see you next time.

Tech Tip #6 : Digital Ceiling

Hi this is a C&C Technology Group Tech Tip. Today’s tech tip is about the benefit of Cisco’s digital ceiling framework. The digital ceiling combines different building infrastructure systems such as lighting, HVAC, Building Automation, and more onto a single IP network, creating a true smart building. The IP network allows for increased visibility of building utilization, improved security, ease of management and operational savings. It works by unleashing the power of IoT or Internet of Things by linking building systems over a converged IP network. It transforms infrastructure across your facilities into a secure architecture that delivers building intelligence. This tech is saving companies up to 15% CapX and 40% OpX. Now that’s a smart building. Thanks for watching this tech tip and we’ll see you next time.

Tech Tip #7 : High Density Jack (HDJ)

Hi this is a C&C Technology Group Tech Tip. Today’s tech tip is about Legrand’s newest high-density jack called “HDJ”. The smaller footprint of the HDJ jack allows up to 48 ports of premium category 6a, 6, or 5e in a one-rack unit panel. This system is ideal for applications like data centers, distribution areas with limited space and other high-density environments. To totally maximize your port density try using the Ortronics HDJ Recessed Angle Modular patch panels to provide up to quadruple the density as standard panels with horizontal cable managers, in the same space. Thanks for watching this tech tip and we’ll see you next time.

Tech Tip #8 : PowerWise Cable

Hi this is a C&C Technology Group Tech Tip. Today’s tech tip is about the Superior Essex Powerwise cable. Powerwise 1 gigabit and 10 gigabit data cables provide the best performance and value for 4pair PoE or “power over ethernet”. Applications requiring up to 100 watts of power. As a partner in the Cisco digital ceiling framework these cables were specifically designed to mitigate temperature build up, offer exceptional energy efficiency and ensure performance over the lifetime of your system. This produces the best solution to connect and power the latest tech ranging from high performance wireless access points to PoE lighting and digital displays. Thanks for watching this tech tip and we’ll see you next time.
